More issues and solutions:

1. Windows XP Service Pack 3 (your .NRG file) is not needed. UCDS runs perfectly on Windows 7.

2. If someone uses your .NRG, you should warn them it wipes the hard disk and takes over sole use of the computer.

3. Your .NRG is not compatible with computers that only use the AHCI interface (specifically UIDE only ‘talks’ to legacy IDE interfaces).

You can get around this by doing the first boot (when pressing ‘A’) by putting the .NRG disk and your HDD into a compatible PC. When it is going to reboot, switch off and put everything back into the original laptop. XP SP3 is fine with AHCI, it’s just your .NRG disk that is not.

4. Remember the errors that I sent you. Memorise them. They mean that your CD IS CORRUPT. I downloaded the UCDS1.26.008 software from another website and it works PERFECTLY on WINDOWS 7, FIRST TIME – including installing the DRIVERS.

Part 5: How to use Ford UCDS adapter with Forscan?

Confirmed:A lot of FORScan users successfully use itUCDS adapterwith Forscan.

The method:If you've got the UCDS adapter drivers loaded you should see it listed in FORScan settings, connection tab under J2534 Adapters section.

Some new drivers needed?Ihave the v3 UCDS adapter and after I installed the drivers it showed up automatically in FORScan for me and works on my Windows 8 & 10 laptop.

The meaning foran UCDS v3 adapter with Forscan:

It means that if you use UCDS v3 and it doesn't work with FORScan, copy ftd2xx.dll from UCDS exe folder to FORScan exe folder. This is an incorrect J2534 library implementation by UCDS, and not a problem of FORScan. Also, if you have FTDI drivers installed in your system (so ftd2xx.dll is available in Windows system folder) everything should work "out of the box". This is why it works "out of the box" for some people (who seems to have FTDI drivers installed) and doesn't work for others (who have no FTDI drivers installed).

Tips and guides on Ford UCDS adapter connection with Forscan:

FORScan implements standard J2534 Passthru API to access J2534 Passthru adapters, no matter if it isUCDS,Ford VCMII, CanTieCar, Tactrix OpenPort,Vxdiag VCX Nanoetc . Yes, different adapters implement some aspects of J2534 standard differently, so we periodically fix J2534 issues in FORScan. For example, in latest versions we added J2534 message send timeout that, as realized later, doesn't work properly in adapters like VXDIAG Nano (makes them extremely slow). We are going to fix it in the next release. But connection procedure is quite simple and straightforward. This procedure in FORScan works well and not changed for months if not years. Connection issues, if any, most likely caused by adapter or it's drivers.

As for UCDS, we researched connection problem with this adapter several months ago and found out the following:

1. Old versions of UCDS (v2?) had problem with J2534 drivers. FORScan was able to access the DLL that implements J2534 API (ucdsj2534.dll) in a standard way. But this library had additional dependencies (unknown for FORScan and other s/w) - libusb0.dll and ftd2xx.dll available in the same folder. This is incorrect driver implementation, However it can be fixed quite easily by copying the libusb0.dll and ftd2xx.dll from UCDS folder to any place FORScan can access it - either in Windows DLL system folder or in FORScan EXE folder.

2. New versions of UCDS (v3) seems to have no libusb0.dll dependency anymore, but ftd2xx.dll dependecy still exists. FORScan has NO ftd2xx.dll distributed, it uses FTDI drivers installed in the system, if any. So if there are no FTDI drivers installed in the system (so FORScan can reach this DLL in Windows system DLL folder), FORScan may not be able to access UCDS J2534 API. Again, we consider it incorrect J2534 API implementation. However it can be easily fixed by copying ftd2xx.dll from UCDS folder to FORScan EXE folder.

3. New UCDS versions have complex anti-piracy protection system. In our tests we noticed that couple of times FORScan was unable to connect to UCDS until we ran native UCDS software that connected to their server and verified the license, also enabled CAN mode ON.

Using soldering points as it is showing in manual. After reading I got wrong mileage 1114095km...original mileage is 275 000km. but after writing that km which you need, dash shows everything ok in car.

3. Carprog full firmware V8.21 : success

Change KM Toyota Prius 2006 93C66 for example:

Remove unit from car. Open it and find internal 93C66 EEPROM memory inside.

Use the Carprog A4, A5 or A6(due to situation) EEPROM adapter and change mileage.

In most cases need to remove EEPROM from the board.

Open carprog full software

Select Dashboard->Toyota->Prius->Prius Yazakj 93C66 v0.4

Manually enter mileage you desired

Press Write KM

Write KM success.

4. Yanhua digimaster 3 : success

F chassis 35128WT eeprom odometer correction best solution:Yanhua YH35XX programmer + Simulator, because it has no risk, no red dot and easy to use. It wins many similar tools i.e Smelecom 35128 emulator (supports a part of 35128WT eeprom) and VVDI Pro (can't work yet).

Steps:

Prepare: one computer

Features:No risk, no red dot.Easy to use.

1. Remove the original 35XX EEPROM from the odometer and solder it to the adaptor board.Then clamp the adaptor board with the solder-free clamp. Ensure the direction of the adaptor board and solder-free clamp is correct.

2.Connect theYH35XX programmerto the USB port of the PC, click on "computer" and it will recognize a usb flash drive named 35XX programmer.

3.Click on U disk35XXprogrammer, double-click "BMW_ODO_Standard_edition. exe" to open the software.

4.Wait until it pops up: Programmer connection successful, then run it.

5.Choose the EEPROM model and click on "Read DATA+ID", check whether the mileage that is read out is the same as the actual mileage.

6.Click on "Save Data File", save the original data of original EEPROM to the folder.

7.Hold the handle of the simulator, clamp the Simulator with the solder-free clamp. Pay attention to the direction. Then connect the solder-free clamp to the programmer, connect the programmer to the PC.

8.Choose the EEPROM model, click on "Load Data File", choose the corresponding data of original EEPROM and load it. Check whether the displayed mileage is the same as the mileage displayed in odometer.

9.Once the mileage is confirmed, click on "Write DATA+ID", write the original data into the Simulator.

10.Click "Read Data+ID", read the data written into the Simulator, and check the mileage.

11.After the mileage is confirmed, click on "Mileage modification" and input the mileage you want.

12.After confirming the input mileage is correct, click on "Write DATA+ID" to write the modified data into the Simulator.

13.After the data is written, click on "Read DATA+ID" to check whether the mileage modification is correct.

14.If the displayed mileage is the same as what you want, cut off the handle of the Simulator, and solder the Simulator to the original EEPROM position. Pay attention to the EEPROM direction. Install the odometer back to the car to verify whether the mileage modification is successful.

Car diagnostic tools and software advice and tips

After years of research and money invested,I would like to share and describe my collection of hardware and software.

1. Genuine licensed Delphi DS150e Cars and Trucks: pretty much the main tester I use because of simplicity and fast response. Only tool suited for Iveco Daily.2. KTS540 licensed with ESI2.0 (One-time-purchase licence): I use it only on cars Delphi can't diagnose properly. Good on Euro5 onward cars, BMWs.

   3. Launch easydiag 2.0 activated PRO online: Always in my pocket for fast diagnosis, key programming on Ford, module configuration on Mercedes, diagnostic on latest Ford Mustang 5.0 and USA imports, suspension adaption on Range Rovers, Mercedes Sprinter. Not good for module reflash.

   4. Actia Multidiag XS 2G (2nd generation), currently with its base program (latest versionv201843.51), it is a bit slower and the interface not that friendly like Delphi, but it is special because its passthru compatibility.I also use it via Passthruwith:

• Mercedes-Benz Xentry Passthru 2018.12 (tested and sees all modules on X-klass 2018, works with DAS as well on older cars. The only way to diagnose this car among all my testers)
• Forscan
• SDD JLR (v156 current version)
• Toyota Techstream

5. OPCOM2018 (Revision D+): powerful and cheap tool, covers cars until 2018.6. VCDS 18.2: for all VAG cars: encountered a UDS communicationproblem on a Passat B8 2.0 Bi-TDI

   7. Multiecuscan 3.9R1 with ELM327, mostly for Ducato euro5, but it works flawless on any Fiat, Alfa, even Suzuki SX4 1.9JTDetc. It covers dealer functions.

   8.VAS5054aand VAG CAN PRO: reflashed modules on VAG.VAS5054a can be used with Xentry Passthru.

   Every tool has its capability. For example, I can do full coding on PSA with Launch, I can do coding on Renault/Dacia with Actia, on Passat B8 Bi-TDI i could do function tests on AdBlue only with KTS. Delphi covers pretty much everything.

 

9. BMW INPA

I would suggest to purchase cheap leads from obdexpress.co.uk instead of trying to use pass through. That way you can use any of the many guides available on the internet. Also I believe the seller is selling the leads with software slightly modified to allow very easy installation.

The thing to note - for E series, earlier cars need pins 7+8 joined, while late E series need pins 7+8 separated. I bought my leads long time ago so I have 2 separate leads, however now you can purchase lead with switch to change this. Also you can use INPA with some F series models, but for that need ENET lead and need to modify a setting in a file. Both leads are available very cheap.

 

10. Nothing beat the factory equipment. All you ever need is:
    1).Launch scannerfor quick functions
    2). Alldata/prodemand
    3). Factory software! Xentry, Ista, Odis, etc.

Peugeot 2008 2017 Mileage Change Via OBD?

Have one 2017 Peugeot 2008 for odometer correction, I thought I tried to do this obd as its a mobile job at customer house not in workshop. I thought it has the valeo no 3 bsi with eeprom 95320.

Tools I have are:

fvdi 2018

Blue digiprog 3 clone

Green obdstar h108 psa

obdstar x300m

 

Working tools and method advice:

1. SMOK UHDS with the PSA Module will do it.

In real: expensive and don't have.

 

2. xtool bsi obd and clocks byepprom adapter only tested

 

3. I do that model with UPA programmer, in any order but when I connect modules back, I always connect bsi first and then dash.

 

I dont trust in obd2 tools

 

4. You can read eeprom by digiprog and export dump to PC if your tool ftdi based ,

Otherwise Post screenshot of area's 0x3a0 and 0x3b0 so we will provide you bytes where need to change

Bsi should be corrected with same value as well , it should be Valeo Bsi with eeprom 95256

Using Yanhua Mini ACDP, how to set the board on the cas 4 so that the pins align and also how to lock the board into the cas?

Just follow this video to do in step by step:

As you can see, yanhua mini acdp adds a new CAS4 key in the way of ICP instead of cutting line, remove components, lift pins etc.

Prepare:

1)Yanhua Mini ACDPpackage (mux, OBP+ICP, BDM01, 20 pin cable, CAS4 adapter, BAV-KEY adapter)

2) Working key

Dismantle CAS4 from the car

The CAS is located under the steering wheel

Dismantle the CAS module

Part 1: Connection

Setup the copper pillar

Find the location hole D1-D4

Enlarge drawing.

Setup the interface board.

Skills: Aim for D1-D4.

Vertical press down the interface board.

Lock the board with copper pillar.

Clamp the board with PCB lock.

Connect the ICP + OBP adapter, BDM01 adapter, CAS4 board and ACDP host.

Power on ACDP.

Part 2: Mini ACDP operation on Mobile phone

Open "Mini ACDP".

Click on "BMW".

Cas4 /CAS4+

The second option (Select according to CPU model).

Read CAS4 EEPROM

Read the note.

Automatic pin detection.

If the detection fails, please check and clean up the test points.

Check the VIN number.

Automatically upload and backup data.

The CAS4 PCB is processed

Automatic enter the "Add key" function.

Connect BAV-key adapter and put it into the blank key.

Please select the CAS data you want.

Take out the blank key and put in the working key.

Reading ISN code.

Check ISN code and VIN number.
