How to unlock/read/write Simos PCR2.1 with Fgtech Ktag Kess

Rviewson howto unlock, read and writeSimos PCR2.1 from VW Golf VI 1.6tdi.


ihave past last week trying manythinksonpcr2.1 and benchflashing .

everything written below is tested and confirmed working by me on 4 ecus /cars, onlyonchineseclone not reworkedunit :fgtechv54,ktag6.070,kessv24.0.36, ksuiteup to 2.15


pcr2.1 need to be as you know unlocked beforewriting .


I preferksuiteto work on thisecu( kessorktag ) , ksuiteseem to be more stable thanfgtechonpcrbut work too:igeterrorwithfgtechon onepcr2.1 , idon’t knowwhy ,and no problem withksuite.

Same dayitry anotherpcrwithfgtechand noproblem ,the onefgtechdon’t want to work with work flawlessly withksuiteand car runok .


So if you have bothtools , preferksuiteseem to be morestable .


After you get you ecuunlocked in bootmode, withfgtechjust removebootand left pinconnection ,and read or write onbench.


Onksuitetools ,you can’t read or write with ktag, onlyunlock.( alientechneed to work on it…)

withkessit’sok ,BUT ,you can’t use thetricoremodule !


The problem is that the harness isplugged inthetricoremodule .so you have to build your own benchcable :just getaobdfemale plug on ascrapyard ,and wire +12gndand can h/l ( klineis not used but you can wireit itwill make a universal benchcable) .


The trick to get communication error free on bothfgtechandkesscable is to use a strong externalpsu.


when the tool id or read or write theecu, theecuwill perform a kind ofreset ,and the big cap inside theecuwill gocharging ,causing a drop in voltage if yourpsuisn’t strong enough to handleit .THAT WILL CAUSE THE COMMERROR .That’s the only thing you have to takecare .


whenimadetestwith many littlepsu( likeoneyou get with your tools) ihave seen 7 volts drop sometime ,so theecuis shutting down and nocomm .


you can use computeratxpsumodded to work onbench(green wire plugged ongroundto power on ) ithink anything that can provide +12v 2A will beok .idid n’t need more than 12v just a stable12V .14v unstable will not be ok lol


that’s why on the car you have noproblem , carbattery can handle the cap chargingcurrent .


There is noimmocaused comm error on thisecu, psuis the problem !!


so inconclusion :goodpsuandobdhome madebenchcable ,removetricoremodule onkessv2= 100% tested bench flashing solution forpcr2.1 .

How to setup UPA-USB v1.3 software to work

I can not use 1.3 in my clone programmer UPA 1.3fromchina, pcbred. The software that Igofrom the provider is the same file install.exe, licanddll, also had uuprog.exe, that this thread is missing, but when I copy the 3 files and run the "cracked" uuprog.exe I received an instant fails, the Software does not load. If I keep the original uuprog.exe, then I am requested to activate the hardware device.

Has anybody overcome this problem yet?



Reply: Hi, I have a solution for those who want to run 1.3.0.14 but can’t get it to work… I’ve only tested this on a2014 Red UPA-USB device and it worked.


Note: bad UPA vs good UPA (i have the good one-left fromobdexpress.co.uk)


You need to find and download a version of the crack folder which includes the uuprog.exe file AS WELL as the uuprog.dll file. I think most versions that you find will have a virus in the uuprog.exe file.. so you disable all other AV except for Windows Defender running on Win7. It will intercept the file and remove the virus leaving the rest of itin tact– you will see it is initially about 60k and reduces to about 28k once Defender has cleaned the file. Move this file along with the uprog.dll anduprog. lic file into the main program folder.

Disconnectusbdevice then launch uuprog.. it takes ages but eventually fires up. Then plug theusbdevice in and you will get the usual annoying activation screen. Typeabcas user andabcas registration and click activate.

That’s it.. then it should activate and find your device.

I think the crack has moved the code of the original uuprog.exe into a uuprog.dll file as they are the same size.. then the tiny cracked 28k uuprog.exe just launches the original code from thedllfile but tricks activation step. Most downloads of the crack are missing the amended uuprog.exe probably because it was stripped during upload because it contains a virus.

For people whohavinga problem with activation, copy and replaced the .exe file contained in the attachmentin tothe installation directory. Run the file and whenaskfor registration, use ABC as for name and password.

SD connect C4 LAN & WiFi Configuration to Fix DAS (1.1)-1.501.9500

Status: I’ve started up SDNC to see if the connection is okay, and it turns green when I connect the multiplexer via LAN, but when I try the wifi it stays red. It can also read out some data from the multiplexer so I am assuming thethe multiplexeris working fine too

Error: If I connect it to a car, DAS keeps popping up the (1.1)-1.501.9500 error (as I understand that must be some kind of communication problem). The car’s wiring is fine as KTS 520 can communicate with it.

SDConnect toolkit says that my mux is available, but when I click on the button in the middle I get an error message, with an error code 750. That button is supposed to be for searching for multiplexers. This kind of gives me the impression that something isn’t quite working right :S
In the toolkit admin, it displays a serial number, says the mux is available. See in the attachments.

Solution:

It’s working!!! (At least it’s working via LAN, have not tried WLAN yet.)

I can’t believe it :O

Changed value in cal.ini to PART_W (to be exact, didn’t need to change it, it was PART_W, just left it that way ).

As for the rest of the instructions, I haven’t been able to follow them exactly. I also got a vid with instructions and it’s a little bit different (I’ll post it here if anyone needs though). For example the LAN IP address is 172.29.127.112, but it seems to be working that way. Also I haven’t been able to configure the "road WLAN”, because it doesn’t matter what I enter into the "key” field, it keeps saying that the key cannot be divided by 2 and therefore it is not hexadecimal

Hope this isn’t going to hinder my chances of using WLAN…

But I’m going to find out in a few anyway.

 

EDIT: Also tried with LAN IP: 172.29.127.119, it doesn’t make a difference. SDConnect works with both IP-s.

Damn….I clicked on the "Delivery condition” button in the SDconnect toolkit, and now I cannot turn on the WLAN on SDconnect. I think it wrote something into the MUX’s software :S

The LAN connection still works though, so the MUX is not blocked yet luckily….

How to change/rewrite Consult 3 Plus serial number

Sometimes, you need change Nissan Consult 3 plus serial number s/n, when things happen like this:

the VI2 workedperfectbefore and it hada SNbefore, itried to type the serial number manually but it didn’t work.



To change Consult 3 plus serial, please use the link to download:


you will find a folder and 3 pictures instruction in it.

inside the folder there is anexeapp which you will use to change/rewrite the serial but before you do that there is a folder also with a file namereqdbwhich you will open with notepad and edit the first line the last 14 digit and only the second digit of each leaving the 0 in place, picture number 3 will show which ones to edit and picture number 1 shows how to use the software

connect the v12 but don’t open the Consult 3 plus software while doing this. this is how I remember them doing it

Volvo VIDA vs VADIS, what’s the difference?

VIDA & VADIS meaning:

Tools to work with:


Vadis handles only VCT2000 interface

VIDA manages VCT2000 interface andDICE.


Actuallythe DICE is managed by USB andbluetooth… Vadis / Vida, it’s the same thing, it’s the software that manages these 2 interfaces … (it’s just 2 different names)


PC & Operation system:


Both runsperfecton Windows 7 64 bit, VADIS works on mine without anything special (no compatibility mode) VIDA only completes the install in VM, I think it would work fine on the regular OS if I took the time to find awork aroundfor thethe OScheck that it does while doing the install.

Running speed:

VADIS is quick to launch and start using but the search takesfor everto bring up results and the over software is pretty slow, VIDA takes forever to launch (5 mins) but once up and running everything is quick.




Conclusion:


VADIS is date coded to stop running after a certain date. That can be fixed, and the versions available on the net have that fix described, and it is an easy one.

VIDA started in 2008? and current version at dealers is2014D. Versions to be foundon,among other places, are usually VIDA 201xA/B/C/D. The big difference is what OS is required to run each.

VIDA 2010A – Windows XP Professional SP3, or VISTA Business SP1

VIDA 2010D – Windows XP Professional SP3, orWindows 7Professional or Ultimate.

Win 7 64 bit requires you to run an XP version in compatibility mode, but several people have reported this works fine.

No matter what version yourun ofVIDA, you need a "crack” program to allow you to run it locally, without connecting to Ford’s server (now Volvo’s server). Crackprogram allows the program to run, and think it isconnected acrossthe internet to mothership’s server.

People have VIDA with cloned DiCE unit, which allows them to connect to the OBD port, and read the car VIN, and diagnostic codes. Typical things you can change with the local VIDA hook up is

seat high and low temperatures on heated seats

SUM for "R” car’s 4C suspension

probably time for courtesy lights to stay on after you walk away from the car.

VADIS and VIDA both have parts diagrams and service instructions for repairs on our cars. VIDA originally used VCT2000 units, but they are nowsupercededby DiCE units. You also sometimes get the electrical wiring diagrams with some of these you buy on the net. I have both VADIS and VIDA, as well as the wiring diagrams and a DiCe unit. Nice to have.

I have made some progress on crackingCummins INSITE 8.2.0and possibly coming up with a key gen for this product. I just need some help. If this product has already been cracked, someone please let me know.

I ran through using IDA Pro and Ollydbg. So far I was able to create a basic key from what it looks like it was doing.

I’ve made some good progress. Shouldn’t be too much longer before I have a full KG with each version type. I’m attempting to get ahold of Sultan as it appears he may be the only person who has cracked it. I was able to successfully activate my copy with a BASIC and PRO license with the original License Configuration Tool. One .DLL is patched to prevent the tool from calling out for online verification, instead it performs an offline activation. The first key I mentioned works until year 2030.


I’ve had major success. Instead of going my normal route, I was able to actually bring back the security menu from version 7.6 and make it work with version 8.2.0. Fully eliminating the use of Cummins License Config Tool. You can actually uninstall it altogether after installing INSITE 8.2.0, as INSITE no longer calls it to open upon load either. The keygens from 7.6.x will then work as well and allow the program to run as normal.
